Trish Donnally, Director of Communications for ForrestPerkins, is an award-winning journalist. She has covered design and luxury lifestyles in Washington, DC, Dallas, and San Francisco, the three cities where ForrestPerkins, an international architecture and interior design firm, has offices. Previously, Ms. Donnally was the editor in chief of Washington Spaces, a design magazine owned by The Washington Post, for five years. She developed an award-winning magazine filled with stories about talented architects and interior designers.
Ms. Donnally co-authored The New Traditional with Darryl Carter, one of Architectural Digest’s Top 100, Clarkson Potter/Publishers, 2008. The book is in its third printing. She was the founding Senior Fashion Editor of eluxury.com, owned by LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, and Editorial Director of Zoza.com, owned by Mel and Patricia Ziegler, founders of Banana Republic. Ms. Donnally launched PaperCITY in San Francisco and a year later became Managing Editor of the lifestyle magazine that focuses on home, fashion, travel and society. Her promotion led to a move to Dallas.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Donnally was the Fashion Editor of the San Francisco Chronicle. She covered the runway collections in Milan, Paris and New York for 15 years. Ms. Donnally has been honored with more than two dozen national journalism awards throughout her career, including the 2000 George A. Hough III Award given for “Overall Superior Reporting on the Apparel Industry.” It was presented by the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at The University of Georgia. Frequently invited to appear as a style authority on television and radio programs in the Bay Area, Ms. Donnally was also a guest lecturer on Crystal Cruises. Her second book, also co-authored with Darryl Carter, is due to be published in fall 2012.
