Feuring Visionary Hotel Development

Berno-H. Feuring is the founder and senior managing director of Feuring - Visionary Hotel Development. During the last 46 years he - both on behalf of numerous institutional and private investors and on behalf of the group - has developed and accompanied more than 400 first class and luxury hotels world-wide.

For 44 years Feuring Group had been the guarantee for the development of successful first class and luxury hotels that meet international market requirements. It is Feuring Group's first maxim to set up an efficient and optimised concept and to realise this in the best possible way.

The development of a suitable hotel project always strongly depends on the analysis of the market and location in question. However, the evaluation of an hotel development also takes into consideration both the investor's and the hotel operation's requirements.

The group's founder, Berno-H. Feuring, set these standards as early as 1959. As an internationally experienced hotelier and project developer he and his family stand for the development of successful hotel projects. To this day more than 350 hotels have been realised both at home and abroad, either under the group's own name or on behalf of well-known hotel operators as well as institutional and private investors.

Mr. Feuring Sr was born and raised in Germany. He resides in Mainz with his wife and family. His son Bardo and son-in-law Matthias Lowin are managing directors in his firms.

Feature Focus
Hotel Human Resources: The Biggest Challenges
The economic challenges of the past four years have led many hotel companies to re-examine the ways in which they do business and how they deploy talent. In many cases, the work did not go away and fewer people were left to carry on the tasks that had previously been shared among many. As we work our way out of the recession and look forward to a healthier economic environment, there is an understanding that despite recovering business levels, we may never see the return of former staffing levels. This "new norm" of operating with leaner teams has led Human Resources professionals and people managers to look at career development and growth opportunities in a new light. The March Hotel Business Review will take a look at some of the strategies being used by successful hotel brands, and techniques human resource directors are currently exploring.
