Olivier Poirot is President and Chief Executive Officer of Accor North America and Chief Executive Officer of Motel 6 and Studio 6. Accor North America's portfolio includes more than 900 Sofitel, Novotel, Ibis, Studio 6 and Motel 6 properties throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Before assuming his role as CEO, Poirot served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Accor North America beginning in 2003. In early 2006, he concluded the Platinum transaction, a sale-and-management-back transaction encompassing six of the Sofitel properties in the United States. Under his leadership, the company implemented operational control tools in all its divisions, improved productivity and accuracy in accounting, spear-headed for the Accor Group the conversion to IFRS, launched a major overhaul of all financial systems as part of an IT three-year plan, cut budget and reporting deadlines, implemented a major restructuring to optimize USD 60m of NOLs, brought centralization to the Sofitel properties in the United States and saved $1M (USD) per year, changed bank pooling and partner in order to generate efficiency savings of about 200k p.a.

Poirot joined Accor as Senior Vice-President in charge of finance for the Accor Business and Leisure (ABL) division in June 2001. Prior to that, he was CFO of Accor UK Ltd, in charge of finance, IT, procurement and legal for Accor hotels in the United Kingdom and Ireland, where he began his career with Accor in 1992.

In 1990, Poirot began his professional career by managing the consultancy firm he started in France. Poirot holds a business degree and a DESSCAF from Ecole Superieure de Commerce de La Rochelle (Sup de Co), in France.
