Mr. Bill Betcher

With nearly seven years at Gomez in various research, customer relations and marketing roles, Product Marketing Manager Bill Betcher has continually been at the cusp of the company’s customer interface. He has been a vital and influential presence in various departments, working directly with Fortune 500 companies to assist them in the areas of customer satisfaction, competitive intelligence, performance management and benchmarking. Today, Mr. Betcher’s works within the Gomez marketing group where he oversees various marketing programs, and serves as a spokesman and interpreter of benchmarking data and trends for customers, media and analysts.

Mr. Betcher began his career at Gomez in the research division, focusing on customer consulting and industry-based consumer research. As the company transformed its business model from Internet site rating and research to explore opportunities in the growing Internet site monitoring and performance management market, he worked closely with Gomez customers to incorporate their business and technology needs into the Gomez Performance Network (GPN), a global network of nodes that monitor Web site performance from the outside in.

Mr. Betcher’s expansive market knowledge, coupled with his expertise in the critical success factors for successful e-retail sites, make him a sought-after information resource for industry media, analysts and consultants, including Advertising Age and Internet Retailer. Prior to Gomez , he spent two years working on a Class A Tall Ship—the "HMS Rose", making multiple trans-Atlantic crossings. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island.
