In this week's Hotel Business Review, my article “Hotel Trade Shows: Creating an Event”, addresses a simple plan any hotelier can use to earn media coverage for their business during a trade show. As an entrepreneur and business owner, I enjoy sharing my expertise to help business owners get an edge on the competition.

At my firm, we often find ourselves in a position where we are competing for new business against one of the huge, international firms that has thousands of employees and unlimited resources. We are able to win business because we embody entrepreneurial spirit and understand what it takes to build a business from the ground up. The drive and work ethic required to succeed is found front and center in every member of our staff. Through my experience I feel a deep connection with other business owners and feel proud to help them use their unique abilities to compete against their own goliaths.

Public relations can do wonders for a business, driving in new customers and communicating a targeted message to large audiences. This is especially true for small- and medium-sized businesses who don’t have the advertising budget to compete against the giants in their industry. As outlined in this month’s article, with a little hard work and determination, media coverage can be earned and used to showcase what your business has to offer. Differentiating yourself from your competition in the media can have huge benefits and show potential customers what puts your business a cut above the rest.

There are many new ideas a business can try to increase sales and boost the bottom line. It is important to stay in your comfort zone and play to your unique strengths. While public relations is certainly not the only way to generate increased revenues, you will find the return on investment is high and the benefits are far reaching.

I look forward to hearing from you regarding this article, “Hotel Trade Shows: Creating an Event”.

Sincerely,
