A good diversity program gets the right job candidates in the door.  A great one keeps them there.  What kind of program does your hospitality organization have?

The U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics estimates that by 2008, 70 percent of new workforce entrants will be women or minorities. The U.S. Census Bureau states the Hispanic population accounts for half of the domestic population growth since 2000.  With this ever-changing workforce, businesses across all industries are doing everything they can to ensure they’re recruiting qualified, diverse candidates.  However, what do you do once they’re in the door, and how do you keep them in there?

The answer is to ensure your diversity efforts extend past the recruitment stage.  My article in the Hotel Business Review "Implementing Diversity Programs for Your Hospitality Staff" will address ways to effectively implement a long-lasting diversity-program into your hospitality organization.
