What role does your fitness center play in your hotel? Properly designed fitness centers should draw in the health-conscious guests. Is your gym merely an afterthought? Are you up to date on the current fitness trends? Do you have a firm grasp on what your guests look for in a fitness center? These are a few of the many different questions relating to hotel fitness centers that, if left unanswered, may be costing you business.

In my article entitled “Overview - Green Gym Design” in the Hotel Business Review, I address the different components involved with greening fitness centers.  With these basic principles you can either retrofit your fitness center or build-out an up-to-date green facility that will impress even the most environmentally conscious guests.

The War Generation, raised on Depression and World War, may have accepted somewhat stoically the difficulties of navigating through an America accustomed to focusing on youth culture, but Baby Boomers have never yet accepted anything anyone has tried to impose upon them and have had the economic might to get their way.
