Next Alliance, Scheduled for March 19-21, 2007, at Utah's Sundance Resort

. October 14, 2008

SANTA BARBARA, CA, October 27, 2006. More than 100 of the hospitality industry's top players gathered at The Club at Hammock Beach in Florida for a three-day business and networking event, September 10-12. An invitation-only event, The Elite Meetings Alliance joined representatives from a collection of the best hotels and resorts in the eastern United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Europe with affluent corporate meeting planners looking to place their group business in these markets. The format of the Alliance allowed hoteliers and planners to conduct business via prescheduled 20-minute appointments, as well as through a series of networking receptions at the host resort.

Some of the world's top hotels and resorts participated, including Sandy Lane; The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans; The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia; The Setai; St. Regis Fort Lauderdale; The Greenbrier; Presidente InterContinental Cozumel; Atlantis; Hyatt Regency Hill Country; Kingsmill Resort; and more. Attending corporate planners represented such distinguished companies as Advance Auto Parts, Aetna; AO North America; Big-O Tires; CNA Insurance; DaimlerChrysler; Global Brand Marketing; Itron; Public Storage; Schwab Institutional; Symantec; Synthes USA, among many others.

"[Founder} Kelly Foy and the Stratus Performance Group staff did an amazing job, and had an amazing property to support them," states Jennifer Shoemake, group sales manager for The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia. "I came back with so many leads. Because it was so productive and successful, I have already received approval to attend next year. This is unlike any other show in the country!"

Aetna's event manager, Jodi Marks, says, "Every detail of the program was perfect and it was clear how hard the Stratus team worked to get it all right. I found the meetings to be most productive and that the pre-scheduling allowed me to really focus in on the locations that I am most likely to source for upcoming programs-while still allowing flexibility to meet with others during the networking events." She adds, "The Club at Hammock Beach was awesome; one cannot say enough about the level of service from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave."

The next Elite Meetings Alliance, which will focus on properties located in the western United States, Canada, and Mexico, will be hosted at Robert Redford's Sundance Resort in Utah on March 19-21, 2007. Hotels, resorts, and corporate meetings planners are welcome to request invitations to attend at www.EliteMeetingsAlliance.com. Dates and location for the fall 2007 event will be announced soon.
