Associated Luxury Hotels Promotes Macumber To EVP

BOSTON, MA, July 25, 2006. Don Macumber has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Associated Luxury Hotels International. In this newly created position, Macumber is responsible for overseeing the sales team and sales efforts for Associated Luxury Hotels, which has 12 national sales offices across the country. Macumber's primary focus will be on the Northeast Region, Mid-Atlantic Region and Southeast Region, which feature national sales offices in Washington, D.C., New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Orlando. Macumber is based in Associated Luxury Hotels Northeast Region's Boston office. His counterpart for the West Regions is Senior Vice President Laurie Knapp, who is stationed in ALHI's Chicago office.

Associated Luxury Hotels has the National Sales responsibilities for its membership of over 80 of America's premier four- and five-diamond/star quality hotels and resorts, plus several extraordinary international hotels and resorts in Canada, Mexico, The Caribbean and Europe.

Prior to his promotion, Macumber served as executive vice president for Associated Luxury Hotels' Northeast Region for nine years. A 16-year veteran of Associated Luxury Hotels, Macumber has served the organization as vice president of sales for the Northeast Region, and as director of sales. He is a member of the Associated Luxury Hotels Executive Committee, is an active member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), and has served on the board of directors for the New England chapter of MPI.
