SpaSoft Achieves CISP Payment Application Best Practices Validation

. October 14, 2008

TORONTO, Canada, September 6, 2006. PAR Springer Miller Systems Inc. (SMS) - the leading provider of guest-centric hospitality management systems- is pleased to announce that VISA(R) USA has validated SpaSoft Version 3.0 as compliant with it's CISP (Card Information Security Program) Payment Application Best Practices.

VISA, in collaboration with MasterCard, has incorporated the CISP standards into an industry-wide approach, known as the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard. The new standard applies to credit card merchants, service providers and payment applications.

To meet Visa's rigorous CISP compliance guidelines, PAR Springer-Miller employed an independent, VISA-qualified Security Assessor to perform a thorough inspection of SpaSoft's payment processing environment. The process included an intensive review of the process by which sensitive information is classified, accessed, and stored, an analysis of network and system architecture, a complete assessment of IT policies and procedures, employee interviews and more.

"Ensuring the safety of our customers' sensitive data is paramount," said Anne McCall Wilson, General Manager - Spas, Fairmont Spas Inc. / Willow Stream Spas. "SpaSoft moved quickly to achieve CISP validation which has been a tremendous asset for our organization."

"Achieving VISA CISP validation demonstrates our commitment to protecting the confidentiality and integrity of cardholder and personal data on behalf of our entire customer base," remarked Brigitte Guy, General Manager of SpaSoft. "We took the entire Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard very seriously and we will continue to implement security recommendations to assist our customers in protecting sensitive data."
