Order Up a Chocolate Mousse Facial, Chocolate Body Wrap, Champagne Sugar Scrub or Couples Massage

This year, the Ritz-Carlton Spa will be serving up a delectable array of Valentine’s specials that will be available during the entire month of February. Treat that special someone or yourself to a facial, massage or body treatment that arouses the senses with the aromas of chocolate, champagne and exotic essential oils.

Two of Hearts, a unique and deliciously aromatic massage with an exclusive blend of Tantra Oil, features nine essential oils including bergamot, sandalwood, jasmine and vanilla. Its sweet bouquet awakens the senses, inviting romance. Following the massage, indulge in champagne and chocolates poolside. The 60 minute treatment is priced at $300, and the 90-minute, at $400.

The Champagne Sugar Scrub exfoliates the body with raw sugar cane, while champagne grapes offer a wealth of antioxidants that provide the appearance of youthful skin. Orange essential oils act as a calming antiseptic, while green tea soothes the skin. This 60-minute treatment is offered at $150.

The Pure Decadence Facial features a chocolate mousse antioxidant masque including cocoa, macadamia, almond and jojoba oils, as well as vitamins B, C and E to rejuvenate and nourish the skin. This facial also helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. This 60-minute treatment is priced at $140.

Finally, in an incredibly sweet experience, the Chocolate Truffle Body Wrap provides the ultimate chocolate fix, while stimulating circulation and encouraging skin cell renewal. It begins with a dry brush exfoliation to stimulate circulation and includes a rich mixture of cocoa, ginseng, and lecithin, enriched with vitamins C and E. Following a warm shower, the skin is drenched in jojoba body butter. This 90-minute treatment is being offered at $195.

Spa guests who schedule one or more of these treatments may also utilize the hotel’s fitness center and indoor rooftop swimming pool.

Hotel Human Resources: The Biggest Challenges
The economic challenges of the past four years have led many hotel companies to re-examine the ways in which they do business and how they deploy talent. In many cases, the work did not go away and fewer people were left to carry on the tasks that had previously been shared among many. As we work our way out of the recession and look forward to a healthier economic environment, there is an understanding that despite recovering business levels, we may never see the return of former staffing levels. This "new norm" of operating with leaner teams has led Human Resources professionals and people managers to look at career development and growth opportunities in a new light. The March Hotel Business Review will take a look at some of the strategies being used by successful hotel brands, and techniques human resource directors are currently exploring.
