Dolce Executive to Serve as GM of its Norwalk Hotel

MONTVALE, NJ - (February 8, 2010). Dolce Hotels and Resorts, a privately held operator of 26 upscale hotels, resorts and conference hotels in North America and Europe, today announced that Mike McNeill, vice president of operations for its North American hotels and resorts, has assumed additional responsibility as general manager of the Dolce Norwalk hotel in Connecticut.

McNeill was promoted to his current position in May 2009 after serving the company as regional vice president, overseeing the operation of Dolce¡¯s managed Doubletree Hotel Boston/Bedford Glen in Massachusetts; the Dolce Valley Forge in King of Prussia, Pa.; and the Dolce Atlanta-Peachtree in Peachtree City, Ga. He received Dolce¡¯s General Manager of the Year Award in 2008 for his work in Bedford.

From 1993 to 2006, McNeill served in various operations and management roles at the Heritage Hotel, Southbury, Conn.; PGA National Resort & Spa, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; Lansdowne Resort, Leesburg, Va.; and the Resort at Squaw Creek, Olympic Valley, Calif.

He is a 1992 graduate of California State University-Chico, where he received a bachelor's degree. He lives in Littleton, Mass.

The 120-room Dolce Norwalk is situated on 66 wooded acres, one hour from Manhattan and 15 minutes from downtown Stamford, Conn. It offers 31 function rooms including an amphitheater and ballroom totaling 21,200 square feet of space, all certified by the International Association of Conference Centers and a staff dedicated to providing information technology and audio visual services.

Hotel amenities include a health and fitness center with full indoor basketball court, two racquetball courts, Olympic-length swimming pool, tennis courts and wooded walking paths. The Candlewood restaurant and Cidermill lounge provide addition venues for both corporate and social events. Dolce Norwalk specializes in a variety of events from board meetings to weddings.
