Buffalo Ventures Opens Homewood Suites by Hilton

Sandra Hodge Leading Team as General Manager

BOZEMAN, MT – March 4, 2010 – Homewood Suites by Hilton, the international brand of all-suite, residential-style hotels, today announced the opening of its newest property in Bozeman, Montana – the first property for the brand in the state. The four-story, 102-suite hotel is owned by Buffalo Ventures, LLC and managed by Hilton Worldwide. General Manager Sandra Hodge has been in the hotel industry for 10 years, and is assisted by director of sales, Alexis Johnston, who has three years of experience.

“We are thrilled to not only be the first Homewood Suites property in Bozeman, but in the entire state of Montana,” said Hodge. “Whether traveling alone for business or with the entire family, guests can enjoy the comforts of home at Homewood Suites. In times where both business and leisure travelers are pinching pennies, we offer a great value with standard amenities such as fully-equipped kitchens, complimentary high-speed Internet access, and separate living and sleeping areas.”

Homewood Suites by Hilton Bozeman offers studio, one-, and two-bedroom suites. Additional guest amenities include a daily complimentary full hot breakfast in the hotel’s hospitality center—the “Lodge”—a full evening meal and beverages Monday-Thursday evenings, an executive business center, and a 24-hour on-site pantry. The hotel also offers a heated pool with hot tub, landscaped courtyard with barbeque area, PreCor fitness center, and approximately 1,200 square feet of flexible meeting space.

Located at 1023 Baxter Lane, Homewood Suites is located near the heart of Historic Bozeman. From the hotel, guests have easy access to all the city has to offer, from world-class Rocky Mountain skiing and rushing fly fishing streams to eclectic shopping, galleries and restaurants. The hotel is located near some of Montana's most popular attractions, including Yellowstone National Park, Chico Hot Springs, Gallatin Pioneer Museum, Gallatin River Canyon, Lewis and Clark Trail, Museum of the Rockies, Historic Virginia City, Big Ski Resort and Bridge Bowl Ski Resort. Hotel Human Resources: The Biggest Challenges
The economic challenges of the past four years have led many hotel companies to re-examine the ways in which they do business and how they deploy talent. In many cases, the work did not go away and fewer people were left to carry on the tasks that had previously been shared among many. As we work our way out of the recession and look forward to a healthier economic environment, there is an understanding that despite recovering business levels, we may never see the return of former staffing levels. This "new norm" of operating with leaner teams has led Human Resources professionals and people managers to look at career development and growth opportunities in a new light. The March Hotel Business Review will take a look at some of the strategies being used by successful hotel brands, and techniques human resource directors are currently exploring.
