Renaissance Chicago Taps John DiMartini
CHICAGO, IL, September 8, 2006. Renaissance Chicago O'Hare Suites Hotel has tapped John DiMartini as executive chef of the all-suite hotel.
In addition to being in command of the property's 150-seat Fresh Market restaurant, DiMartini will also oversee the hotel's banquet services and its entertainment venue, the R Bar. DiMartini is a veteran of the culinary industry with almost 20 years of experience. Prior to joining the Renaissance Chicago O'Hare Suites Hotel team, DiMartini served as the corporate chef and director of food and beverage for F &F Realty Hotel & Restaurant in Skokie, IL, where he was responsible for the hotel banquet center and fine dining restaurant. Previous positions include executive chef and director of food and beverage for the Wyndham Hotel in Rosemont, IL executive sous chef for Marriott Hotel Greentree in Pittsburgh, PA. The chef also spent three months on a task force in Moscow, working as the executive chef at the Hotel Tverskaya. DiMartini spent five years as an instructor of the culinary arts, both at the Community College of Allegheny in Pittsburgh and Cooking with the Best Chef's classes in Lombard, IL. He graduated with an associated degree from the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts.
