New Appointment by Amadeus

SEPTEMBER 11, 2006. Amadeus is appointing Angel Gallego as the new Western Europe Director. Gallego takes over from Paul de Villiers who has moved on to be General Manager, Savia Amadeus, the company's commercial organisation in Spain.

Gallego will be responsible for driving and implementing Amadeus' strategy and business plan in Western Europe, with the key objective of improving the results and profit contributions of most of the region's different business lines. Gallego and his team will also provide the link between Amadeus' central operations and local in-country units. Previously, Gallego held the post of Director, Latin America, where he led the creation, implementation and development of Amadeus' business strategy in the region, and generated considerable growth in the company's regional results during the past five years.

Angel originally joined Amadeus in 2000 and previously he worked for American Express as Strategic Market Manager and Senior Marketing Executive, managing a wide range of pan-European responsibilities.

Gallego graduated with a degree in Law from the University of Madrid in 1992. He also holds a MBA from Escuela de Organizaci'on Industrial (EOI).
