White Lodging Appoints Amy Grayson as DoS at Indianapolis Marriott Downtown

MERRILLVILLE, IN - January 4, 2012 - Amy Grayson, a familiar face at the Marriott in downtown Indianapolis, has been promoted to the Director of Sales position at the hotel. "I am thrilled to accept this new position and want to thank White Lodging for giving me this opportunity," Grayson said.

Prior to being named the Director of Sales, Grayson was a Senior Account Executive at the hotel, a position she's held since 2008. She moved into this position after serving as a Senior Sales Manager. During Grayson's tenure at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown, the hotel has achieved Golden Circle status three times and it has consistently exceeded its guestroom and catering goals. "2010 was a particularly stellar year for us," Grayson said. "Not only was I able to achieve 111 percent of my individual goal, but our sales team won White Lodging's Hotel Sales Team of the Year Award."

Grayson has also been part of the sales team at the Conrad Hotel in Indianapolis. She first served as Senior Sales Manager and then was promoted to the position of Assistant Director of Sales. It was while she was Assistant Director of Sales that she received the President's Recognition for Sales Excellence.

After graduating from Mount Union College with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Grayson began her hospitality industry career. Her first position was with Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson where she worked first as a Conference Services Assistant and then as the Catering Coordinator. She then was the Golf House Manager at The Lodge at Ventana Canyon also in Tucson. Before moving to Indianapolis in 2005, Grayson was the Sales Manager at the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort.

"Amy's progress has been steady, and I am pleased that she accepted the promotion here at the Marriott," said Director of Sales & Marketing, Janice Zoeller. "I look for her to build a stellar team."
