SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts Announces Appointment of SVP, Finance & Accounting

Michael Kreuger joins SilverBirch Hotels and Resorts

January 4, 2012 - SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Kreuger as senior vice president of Finance and Accounting.

Michael joins SilverBirch after serving as the vice President and controller of The Forzani Group Ltd., the largest and only national sporting goods retailer in Canada, and was previously the Corporate Controller at Nike Canada Ltd.

“Michael’s entrepreneurial spirit and experience in multi-unit operations and new technology make him a great addition to our executive team,” said Steve Giblin, president and CEO of SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts. “He will be an asset to SilverBirch as we continue to grow and seek new markets and opportunities.”

A Certified Accountant (CA) and Certified Professional Accountant (CPA), Michael began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP overseeing major projects across Canada and around the world. With over 10 years of experience in the financial industry, Michael has a proven record of success working with companies to manage their budget and provide strategic investment consultation.
