Trump SoHo New York Appoints Two New Hospitality Executives

January 10, 2012 - Trump SoHo® New York announces the addition of two hospitality industry veterans to its catering and events leadership team. Barbara Thibault-Simon, with 20 years in the hotel catering industry, has been appointed director of catering and Bysheena Jackson is the new director of meetings & events with 12 years of experience.

“I am thrilled to have Barbara and Bysheena as part of the Trump SoHo team,” said Andreas Oberoi, general manager. “They have both hit the ground running and have contributed to the success of recent meetings and social events at the hotel, and are poised to make 2012 the most successful year yet.”

Thibault-Simon joins Trump SoHo with extensive experience in the New York market, including her most recent position as director of catering & diplomatic protocol service at The Intercontinental New York Barclay. Previously, she held a four-year tenure at The Ritz-Carlton in Westchester, New York, during its pre-opening/opening phases, at which time she contributed to the success of its launch by booking $1 million in catering revenue during the construction phase alone. Prior to the Ritz-Carlton, she was the assistant director of catering & protocol at The New York Palace Hotel.

Jackson has a strong background in coordinating and executing large-scale events at hotels in the Northeast. Most recently as the director of events at Millennium Broadway Hotel, she achieved a goal of $15 million in food and beverage sales for the hotel’s conference center within one year. During the 10 years prior to her role at Millennium, Jackson worked for Hilton Hotels in Rye Town in Westchester, NY; Baltimore, Maryland; and New York City. Throughout her tenure at Hilton, Jackson increased banquet revenue and handled events for companies such as Glaxo Smith Kline, PepsiCola, and Mastercard.
