Stuart Weintraub Moves Down the Block in South Beach

January 17, 2012 - Following a stellar twenty-year career with the Shelborne – South Beach, Crescent Heights properties and the Menin Hotels group as general manager and director of sales & marketing, Stuart Weintraub has recently joined the oceanfront, deco-classic Richmond Hotel on South Beach as it’s general manager.

Stuart grew up on Miami Beach and worked at his family’s property, the Netherland, prior to his graduation from the University of Miami with a Master’s degree. Mr. Weintraub is active in the local community, serves on the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Board and is involved with the local Hotel Association and Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The Richmond is a small Superior First Class Hotel situated directly on the Ocean in the heart of Miami Beach’s historic Art Deco District and in South Beach’s finest location. The Richmond is an authentic art deco restoration, meticulously and lovingly directed by our owners Patricia and Allan Herbert and is family-owned and operated since 1941. The Herbert’s have paid detailed attention to every aspect of the renovation and maintenance of the Hotel and their passion for it has been embraced by our friendly, hand-selected staff who provide sincere and personalized, cordial hospitality which has developed a strong, loyal clientele and following. The Herberts are thrilled with their recent acquisition and declare: “The Shelborne’s loss is the Richmond’s gain.”

The Richmond features one hundred Guestrooms: each offering all-white bedding and down comforters, Art Deco décor with blond-oak furnishings, desk and armchair and our unique 1930’s-inspired alarm clock. Accommodations also include in-room safes, bathrobe and iron/ironing board. Hotel services include: High-Speed WiFi (surcharge), satellite television and Valet parking. Guests also enjoy the rooftop Terrace and Solarium, business center and complimentary Fitness Center. Meeting Facilities are available upon request. The heated swimming pool, patio and fountains are surrounded by luscious landscaping creating a unique oasis for our visitors. Chef Gustavo oversees the inviting Verandah Dining Terrace; serving wonderful dining and daily drink specials. Guests enjoy the fabulous Bridge to Romance linking the Richmond to Miami Beach’s Beachwalk and direct beach access to the warm, turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Hotel is just steps from the Miami Beach Convention Center, the Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater, the New World Symphony, Botanical Gardens, Holocaust Memorial and Bass Art Museum. The Richmond is also within easy walking distance to Lincoln Road and Ocean Drive and all of the exciting nightlife, fine dining experiences and shopping that South Beach has to offer. The Richmond is conveniently located within minutes of the Miami International Airport, the Port of Miami and all major South Florida sporting & event venues.
