Parra Vaughan Appointed VPMS of Sea Island

January 19, 2012 - Sea Island Acquisition, LLC, recently named Parra Vaughan as vice president, marketing & sales of Sea Island. A seasoned marketing executive with over 20 years of experience, Vaughan is responsible for overseeing marketing and sales programs for all aspects of Sea Island.

Before joining Sea Island, Vaughan operated her own independent marketing consultancy firm for 10 years, serving clients across a wide range of industries including energy, food, publishing, transportation and financial services. Prior to consulting, she served as the senior vice president of marketing communications for AXA Financial in New York City and for First Union in Charlotte, North Carolina.

While at First Union, Vaughan was awarded the prestigious “Spirit of First Union” award in 1999 and was named one of the top twenty-five business women in Charlotte, by The Business Journal. Before her financial services experience, Vaughan was the senior brand manager for Sprite and PowerAde (during the 1996 Olympics) at Coca Cola in Atlanta, Georgia. She also worked in packaged goods marketing at Procter and Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio where she held several brand management positions in their food division. Vaughan began her career at IBM, where as a marketing representative, she became a member of IBM’s Golden Circle, the company’s highest honor for sales accomplishments.

Vaughan has a Master of Management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She graduated with honors from both institutions.
