Buffalo Lodging Appoints Amy Buzzell as DoS for 121-room Courtyard by Marriott Providence/Lincoln

CANTON, MA - January 23, 2011 - Buffalo Lodging Associates is proud to announce that Amy Buzzell has been brought on as director of sales for Courtyard by Marriott Providence/Lincoln. The hotel located at 636 Washington Highway in Lincoln, Rhode Island.

Buzzell joins Buffalo Lodging with more than 15 years of hospitality experience. Most recently, Amy was working as a sales task force member for Marriott hotels in the North Shore area of Massachusetts. Her prior experience includes area sales work for the Residence Inn Tudor Wharf and assistance with a $12 million renovation for a Holiday Inn in Brookline, Mass.

In 2010, Buzzell started a non-for-profit organization, We Won’t Lay Down 2 Cancer, dedicated to supporting cancer research. She hosts an annual 5k race and has raised nearly $36,000 for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

Amy is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, where she earned an AS in Hotel & Restaurant Management and a BS in Sales & Marketing. She currently resides in Franklin, Mass with her husband and two children.

Located just north of Providence and in the business district of Lincoln/Smithfield, Courtyard is the leader in the market for premier accommodations and service. The 121-room hotel renovated with Courtyard’s “refreshing business” makeover in 2010. All guest rooms were completely renovated to include flat screen televisions, complimentary wireless internet access, and remote printing capabilities via PrinterOn.

The property also features the signature GoBoardTM in the lobby. Packed with local information, maps, weather, and news, business and sports headlines, guests can navigate using the touch screen to find restaurants, local attractions and directions. The Bistro offers higher quality, healthier menu options for breakfast; and light evening fare, including snacks, wine and beer so guests can unwind. Starbucks® coffee products are also available for purchase at the hotel.
