Hilton Atlanta Airport Hotel Completes $20 Million Makeover of its 507 Guestrooms

ATLANTA, GA – January 24, 2012 - Hilton Atlanta Airport, like no other hotel in the area, has introduced a collection of newly renovated guest rooms as part of a $20 million makeover of the 17-story airport property. The impressive 21-consecutive year recipient of the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award continues its rich tradition of offering the area’s best accommodations with the completion of the hotels 507 guestrooms. The renovation is part of a three-year, $3 billion plan of significant property renovations currently underway across the global portfolio of Hilton Hotels & Resorts, the flagship brand of Hilton Worldwide.

Local design team, Hirsh Bedner & Associates, gave careful consideration of travelers frequenting the hotel, creating a soothing and relaxing atmosphere to sink into after a long day of travel. Thoughtful upgrades have been made in guestroom furniture, tableside lighting and new wall coverings.

Comfort and serenity were top of mind when designing the heavily trafficked hotel only minutes away from one of the world’s busiest airports, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. “Our guests want a comfortable bed for a good night’s sleep and our new guestrooms offer just that and more,” said David Piscola, general manager, Hilton Atlanta Airport. “The new color palettes, lighting, and design create a residential feeling and setting, allowing guests the comforts of home.”

The rooms are outfitted with Hilton Serenity collection’s plush-top beds and down duvets, wired and wireless Internet access, a high-definition television, and a iHome alarm clock with docking station and MP3 player connection, as well as work desk, and laptop-size in-room safe. Guest bathrooms were fully renovated and feature all-new granite bath and counter, new fixtures and built-in shelving stocked with Hilton’s signature Peter Thomas Roth bath amenities. Expansive walk-in glass enclosed showers with oversized shower heads have been added to all suites and king bedded guestrooms. Two parlor suites are perfect for entertaining and include a billiard table and fireplace.

Hotel amenities include a 24-hour self-service business center, three full-service restaurants including a sports bar and a cocktail lounge. Also available is an on-site fitness center, indoor/outdoor pool, whirlpool and barbershop.
