VIZERGY Recognized by 904 Business Magazine as a Community-minded Company That Cares

February 2, 2012 - Company repays success by giving back in local community 904 Magazine recently included VIZERGY, a nationally recognized leader in hospitality digital marketing, as part of their “Companies with Heart” special feature in the February issue of the magazine. The recognition was based on several criteria, including the company’s corporate philosophy on giving back, as well as activities, programs, and company policies that highlight VIZERGY’s commitment to philanthropy. VIZERGY, a small business with less than 100 employees, has contributed nearly $30,000 and hundreds of hours of staff time towards numerous charitable causes, including: Dreams Come True, First Coast No More Homeless Pets, Homes of Life, Second Harvest Food Bank, as well as various schools, churches, and other organizations in the area.

VIZERGY ties community giving and charitable contributions into their overall responsibility as a company. Their philosophy on giving highlights their desire to “ensure we are a company our employees are proud to work for.” Employees are given and encouraged to use a half day of paid time off per quarter to participate in community and charity events.

“Our success has allowed us to prosper over the years, enabling us to give back to our community. I am proud to know we’ve been able to help so many organizations but have even greater pride in knowing my employees take personal responsibility for contributing to great causes,” says Joe Hyman, President & CEO of VIZERGY.

The company’s main charitable focus in 2012 is to support a yearlong $50,000 fundraising initiative for local Jacksonville nonprofit Dreams Come True. Several benefit events are planned for the spring, including an upcoming Charity Bachelor/Bachelorette Auction, to be held at Suite Nightclub on Thursday, February 16th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Channel 4 News Anchor Nikki Kimbleton and former Jacksonville Jaguar Tom McManus will be auctioning off about twenty participants at the event. Food and drink specials will be offered and all proceeds will benefit Dreams Come True.
