Benchmark Appoints Miguel Diaz DoSM for 159-suite Marenas Resort, Sunny Isles Beach

Houston, Texas - February 6, 2012 - Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading US-based hospitality management company, has named Miguel Diaz director of sales and marketing for Marenas Resort, located in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, north of Miami. Marenas Resort is part of Benchmark Hospitality’s new collection of Personal Luxury Resorts & HotelsSM properties. Jim Franklin, Benchmark’s general manager at the resort, made the announcement.

Miguel Diaz was most recently the director of sales for the Orlando World Center Marriott. He has served for much of his career in director-level positions for leading luxury hotel brands at properties in Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Atlanta and Chantilly, Virginia.

Mr. Diaz has achieved numerous sales performance awards during his hospitality career, including multiple President's Circle Awards and Sales Team of the Year awards. Diaz has relocated to the Miami area.
