Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort & Spa Welcomes New GM

March 9, 2012 - Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort & Spa, Tucson's premier resort, has officially announced the appointment of David Yamada to the position of general manager. Yamada brings more than 25 years of hospitality experience in quality hotels across the U.S. to his new role overseeing day-to-day operations at the award-winning, 241-room Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort & Spa.

Yamada comes to Tucson most recently from Kingston, Jamaica, where he managed the Wyndham Kingston Hotel, a 303-room city-center hotel featuring more than 16,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Yamada is a certified trainer for Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, skilled in developing and implementing innovative business solutions and leading, managing and motivating teams.

In his new role as general manager, Yamada will oversee daily resort operations and manage a staff of nearly 230 at Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort & Spa, the historic Tucson property which, like the state of Arizona, is currently celebrating its Centennial.
