ROCKLAND, ME, February 13, 2007. The Historic Inns of Rockland plan to celebrate American Chocolate Week with sweet gusto, and they've partnered with businesses throughout Rockland to bring a chocolate chomping weekend event. Rockland, Maine will roll out the cocoa carpet, March 10 -11, 2007 for the second Annual Inn to Inn Chocolate March weekend.

This event features two days of sweet samplings throughout the Historic Inns of Rockland and the Rockland community including the First Annual Waterworks Deliciously Decadent Double Chocolate Brownie Sundae Eating Contest. Add to that restaurant samplings and discounts on chocolate themed items from retailers, plus a chocolate themed movie at the historic Strand Theater and much more and you've got a weekend chock full of chocolate. It's all topped off with an Inn to Inn Chocolate Tour offering a host of demonstrations and tastings.

Five dollars from every $15 ticket for the Chocolate March weekend will be donated to United Mid-coast Charities of Maine, benefiting more than sixty local non-profit organizations. Explore all the reasons chocolate makes one healthy, wealthy and wise. Historic Inns of Rockland will indulge guests in this favorite American food while they kick off the annual American Chocolate Week (celebrated each year the second week in March) with all the pomp and sweetness it deserves.

Chocolate lovers can come for the day, spend the night or really indulge and stay for the whole weekend.
