April 23, 2014 - Seasoned hotel and resort manager, Erol Miftahittin, has joined The California Parks Company (TCPC) as General Manager of Drakesbad Guest Ranch in Lassen Volcanic National Park, Calif.

Miftahittin brings more than 30 years of hotel and resort management experience to TCPC, including terms as Regional Vice President Micronesia for Castle Resorts & Hotels, Senior Vice President at Rose Hotels International and general manager of six hotels and resorts in Asia and the Pacific.

At Drakesbad, he will oversee one of the National Park System s most famous park lodges, known for its intimate accommodations, rustic luxury, natural hot spring swimming pool and proximity to several of the national park s most remarkable geothermal areas.

At its beginning in the early 1900s, Drakesbad attracted guests for the recuperative benefits of its natural hot springs and soda water, Miftahittin said. I m a hot springs lover and proponent of their health benefits. I see this as setting Drakesbad apart among national park experiences, he said.

Miftahittin joins TCPC this month and will open Drakesbad Guest Ranch for its 105th season in June. More about the resort is found at www.drakesbad.com.
