Woodlands Resort Opens 1,005 Lazy River

THE WOODLANDS, TX - July 23, 2014 - One of the top ten pool destinations for families in North America according to 10Best.com, a division of USA Today Travel, is elevating its level of interactive aquatic fun. The Woodlands Resort® officially announced today its new highly-anticipated lazy river is now open.

The new 1,005-foot lazy river winds its way through the acclaimed Houston area resort's Forest Oasis Waterscape™ surrounded by lush natural foliage and plenty of opportunity to be splashed. As riders enter the river, a majestic mosaic by Houston artist Denise Liebl greets them. The beauty of Herons, Egrets, Kingfishers and other wildlife found in the uninterrupted waterways of The Woodlands is unveiled to riders as they drift amid the serene setting. Guests may also stop during their trip along the lazy river to get out and enjoy a refreshing ride down the resort's new plunge slide, landing in the lazy lagoon pool.

The new lazy river adds to the oasis of fun at the resort, which includes favorites such as two-story spiraling double water slides, lagoon-style pools, waterfalls, underwater music and murals and Puffy's Sprayground™, a synchronized water experience with waterspouts and fountains.
