Richmond Region Tourism Names Kristin McGrath as New VP of Sales and Services

Richmond, VA - September 22, 2014 - Richmond Region Tourism is pleased to welcome Kristin McGrath as the new Vice President of Sales and Services. McGrath comes to Richmond Region Tourism from the Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) in Rhode Island where she has worked since 2005, most recently serving as Vice President of Sales and Services. During her tenure at the Providence Warwick CVB, she also held the roles of National Sales Manager and Director of Sales.

As Vice President of Sales and Services, McGrath will be responsible for enhancing and developing the region's convention services package and generating qualified lead sources for the sales team. Additionally, she will work to cultivate relationships with Richmond Region Tourism's key stakeholders - including clients, community organizations, the Greater Richmond Convention Center and the local hotel community - a role in which her extensive knowledge of the industry will serve her well.

McGrath's background includes more than 18 years in the tourism and hospitality industry. Before joining the Providence CVB, Kristin served as the Director of Association Sales at the Westin Copley Place Boston and also with the Greater Boston CVB as their National Sales Manager. McGrath is a graduate of Emmanuel College in Boston and is a Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME). Additionally, McGrath serves on the Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP) Board of Directors and is actively involved with the Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) Education Committee.
