Loews Sapphire Falls Resort and Naples Grande Beach Resort in Florida Join Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI)

September 30, 2014 - Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has expanded its portfolio in Florida with the addition of the all-new Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando®, opening in the summer of 2016, and the newly independently branded Naples Grande Beach Resort, which is slated to complete an impressive $18 million renovation and redesign in January 2015. The ALHI Global Sales Organization (GSO) now represents the two resorts to meeting professionals, association executives, business executives, and incentive specialists interested in conducting meetings, conventions, and/or incentive programs at the resorts. The announcement was made by ALHI CEO David Gabri and ALHI President Jim Schultenover.

The new Caribbean-themed Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando® will feature 131,000 square feet of meeting space, and 1,000 guest rooms and suites, when it opens at Universal Orlando® Resort in the summer of 2016. The resort's meeting space will include a 41,000-square-foot ballroom, a 32,000-square-foot ballroom, and 43,000 square feet of pre-function space. The full-service resort will feature a beautiful resort-style pool with a water slide and sand beach, a fitness center, a full-service restaurant with scenic water views, a themed lobby lounge, a quick-service marketplace, a full-service business center, and complimentary WiFi in guest rooms. In addition, guests of the resort will receive Early Park Admission to Universal Orlando® Resort's two theme parks (Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure), and will have water taxi and shuttle access to the two theme parks and the Universal CityWalk® entertainment complex. The resort will be 15 miles from Orlando International Airport.

Designed and located adjacent to sister property Loews Royal Pacific Resort (another ALHI Member hotel), the colorful new Loews Sapphire Falls Resort will be connected to Loews Royal Pacific Resort's meeting space via an air-conditioned covered bridge. Together the combined resorts will offer 2,000 guest rooms and will have 272,000 square feet of combined meeting space, with the recently announced expansion of Loews Royal Pacific Resort's meeting space from 85,000 square feet to more than 140,000 square feet, now in development.

Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando® becomes ALHI's sixth Member hotel in Orlando, joining exceptional sister resorts Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando® and Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando®, as well as the luxurious The Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, the majestic 230-acre Rosen Shingle Creek, and the secluded and newly redesigned The Villas of Grand Cypress. In addition to its Membership in ALHI's distinguished worldwide portfolio, Loews Sapphire Falls Resort also becomes the newest option in the “ALHI Big Box Solutions Collection” specialty segment, which consists of ALHI's 26 Member hotels and resorts that feature over 500 rooms, 50,000+ square feet of meeting space, and at least one ballroom of 20,000 square feet or more.

Naples Grande Beach Resort, formerly known as the Waldorf Astoria Naples, is now undergoing an extensive $18 million enhancement which includes the renovation and redesign of all 474 guest rooms and suites, three restaurants, beach area, and common spaces. The elegant Southwest Florida resort features more than 83,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including the 14,442-square-foot Royal Palm Ballroom. The hotel also offers six restaurants and lounges, three heated outdoor pools, a full-service luxury spa, an 8,000-square-foot fitness center, a business center, and a tennis facility with 15 courts. Surrounded by 200 acres of a protected mangrove estuary intertwined with bridges and elevated walking paths that provide guests access to three miles of beachfront on the Gulf of Mexico, the resort is within walking distance of the upscale Waterside Shops shopping mall. Guests also have access to the 18-hole, par-72 The Naples Grande Golf Course, a private course located minutes from the hotel. The resort is owned and operated by Northwood Hospitality, which also has the beautiful New York Palace as an ALHI Member. The Naples Grande Beach Resort is just 30 minutes from Southwest Florida International Airport.

Naples Grande Beach Resort becomes ALHI's second distinguished Member resort in Southwest Florida, joining the AAA Four-Diamond, 125-acre The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club. ALHI also features three additional outstanding options on Florida's West Coast, with St. Pete Beach's iconic Gulf-front Loews Don Cesar Hotel, the elegant 323-room InterContinental Tampa in the thriving Westshore business district, and the acclaimed Saddlebrook Resort near Tampa.
