Swire Properties Announces Linda Chu as Chief Financial Officer

Chu to oversee finances of Brickell City Centre, Miami's largest mixed-use urban development

Miami, FL - October 1, 2014 - Swire Properties Inc, one of South Florida's leading international developers of real estate, today announced that Linda Chu has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of the company.

The former Head of Finance for Swire Hotels, a division of Swire Properties, will move from Hong Kong to South Florida to oversee the fiscal functions and performance of Swire Properties Inc, including the $1.05-billion Brickell City Centre, Miami's largest mixed-use urban development.

Chu brings to Swire Properties more than 14 years of finance, accounting, tax, compliance and regulatory experience in the fields of real estate, hospitality and leisure. Prior to joining Swire Hotels in 2013, Chu held senior-level positions at Tishman Speyer in London and Shanghai and at PricewaterhouseCoopers in London.

Swire signed Saks Fifth Avenue as the anchor tenant of the shopping center last month. The first condominium tower is almost 70 percent sold, and the second one is in the pipeline. The $20-million CLIMATE RIBBON™ is being assembled, and next year EAST will open, Swire's first hotel in the United States. At 9.1 acres, Brickell City Centre is poised to become an international, world-class destination and a game changer for the City of Miami.

Linda Chu received an MBA from the University of Manchester's business school after graduating from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in Law & Public Affairs and the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology with honors in finance. Chu participated in the University of California, Berkeley Exchange Program.
