. October 09, 2014

October 9, 2014 - Piccadilly's historic Trocadero will be transformed into a 583-room hotel, according to reports.

The Grade II-listed building will be converted to a hotel spanning seven floors with Tokyo-style compact windowless pods to maximise space. There will also be eight apartments on the lower levels, and shops on the ground floor.A new rooftop bar on the ninth floor, with views over Piccadilly Circus, will also be added.

The scheme, which has been approved by Westminster Council, aims to 'breathe new life into one of London's most famous buildings' which has been an entertainment centre since the late seventeenth century.
