Crowne Plaza Springfield and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Springfield Join Driftwood's Hospitality Roster
North Palm Beach, FL - December 19, 2014 - Driftwood Hospitality Management (www.DriftwoodHospitality.com) today announced the acquisition of its first two properties in Central Illinois, the 288-room Crowne Plaza Springfield and the 140-room Holiday Inn Express & Suites Springfield. The company's fourth and fifth properties in Illinois, the acquisitions come on the heels of Driftwood's recent rebranding and multi-million dollar renovation of the new dual-branded Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile and the renovation of the Courtyard in Wood Dale Illinois.

The two new Springfield properties will be added to this project roster, as both properties will undergo a $12 million dollar renovation. Guests can expect completely restored guestrooms, bathrooms and corridors, as well as significant enhancements to the hotels' public areas.
Known as the premier convention hotel in Central Illinois, the Crowne Plaza Springfield offers more than 70,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a 13,000 square foot ballroom, 28,000 square foot exhibit hall and a 4,190 square foot outdoor deck overlooking the city. Its 288 guestrooms span 14 floors with 274 standard guestrooms and 14 suites. The property also features two full-service dining concepts, a lobby bar, indoor rooftop swimming pool, business center and gift shop.
The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Springfield is ideal for the on-the-go traveler with a complimentary Express Start Breakfast Bar, guest laundry services, business and fitness centers. The four-story property features a variety of spacious guestrooms including 110 standard rooms, 28 mini-suites and two parlor suites, all equipped with in-room entertainment, work desk areas and coffee makers. In addition, hotel guests are granted complete access to the full-service amenities offered at the neighboring Crowne Plaza Springfield.
