$11 Million Facelift Complete for Thailand's 408-room Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa

. December 24, 2014

Bangkok, Thailand - December 24, 2014 - Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa is proud to announce the completion of a THB 335 million / USD $ 11 million refurbishment. The extensive renovations comprise upgraded accommodation and design uplifts of two riverside restaurants, completed in perfect timing for high season so that Anantara's discerning guests are assured of a memorable stay at Bangkok's only true resort beside the River of Kings.

The resort's luxury accommodation offers 408 completely refurbished rooms, including 101 suites, each designed in exquisite Thai style with scenic river or lush garden views, admired through floor to ceiling windows from plush interior comforts and outside on private balconies. In 2012 40% of the resort's accommodation, consisting of 169 rooms and suites, was refurbished with a THB 295 million / USD $ 9.7 million investment. Just recently a further THB 295 million / USD $ 9.7 million was spent on refurbishing the remainder of the accommodation, including brand new two bedroom suites, which offer ideal accommodation for families and friends travelling together.

Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa's dining experiences have also benefited from striking new looks. Providing guests with the finest waterfront dining locations beside the River of Kings, The Market and Riverside Terrace restaurants have been transformed by an investment of THB 40 Million / USD 1.3 Million.

The redesigns of these two restaurants perfectly complement one another. The Market has received a polished uplift to its fresh contemporary Thai decor, offering guests an atmospheric setting for daily buffet breakfasts, enjoyed either in the stylish dining room with expansive windows revealing views of the tropical grounds and river beyond, or outside on the spacious terrace. In contrast, Riverside Terrace has been redesigned to offer a more vibrant open air setting for the nightly international buffets with live cooking stations, as Thai dancers perform on a flame lit stage against a majestic river backdrop.
