189-room DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh - Cranberry Opens with Renovations Underway

PITTSBURGH, PA / MCLEAN, VA - January 12, 2015 - Hilton Worldwide and DoubleTree by Hilton today announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh - Cranberry. Located in the heart of Cranberry Township, the hotel marks the brand's sixth property in the metropolitan Pittsburgh area. Formerly a Four Points by Sheraton, the hotel has commenced a multi-million dollar transformation as part of its rebranding effort that includes contemporary design updates across the property, a new food and beverage concept and additional enhancements to its newly-updated guest rooms. Renovations are scheduled for completion by late August 2015. The hotel is under new leadership that includes ownership by Elmhurst Group and DiCicco Development, Inc., and management by Prospera Hospitality, all Pittsburgh-based companies.

Through its ongoing renovations, DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh Cranberry will implement several exciting enhancements in the coming months including the addition of a new porte-cochere and an expansive, contemporary lobby featuring warm wood accents, natural sunlight and beautiful green space. The hotel's recently-renovated 189 guest rooms will also see further improvements, including the addition of the luxurious Sweet Dreams® by DoubleTree sleep experience. The hotel's expansive meeting and events space - which currently boasts over 23,000 square feet of meeting space and the second largest ballroom in the market - will be fully renovated to better meet the needs of clients and accommodate all types of gatherings, from intimate to large. The restaurant will also be revamped into a Made Market, DoubleTree by Hilton's exclusive food and beverage concept featuring made-to-order specialties, homemade favorites and locally-inspired dishes.

Guests will continue to enjoy the hotel's array of complimentary services and amenities, including a 24-hour fitness center, 24-hour business center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, whirlpool, sauna and complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel's public areas and guest rooms.
