Florida's 98-key Acqualina Resort & Spa On The Beach Completes Guest Room Redesign

. January 22, 2015

SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FL - January 22, 2015 - Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach will unveil a complete redesign of its 98 guest rooms and suites. Imagined by the hotel's development and ownership team, including Stephanie Trump, Isabel Tragash of Miami-based STA Architectural Group, and Deborah Yager Fleming, vice chairman and principal of the property, the new look will add a heightened level of modern elegance to the five star, five diamond resort located in Miami's Sunny Isles Beach neighborhood.

"Our resort is an anchor of luxury hospitality in South Florida and we continually strive to elevate the guest experience year over year," said Deborah Yager Fleming, vice chairman and principal, Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach. "The new guest rooms are yet another example of our dedication to truly exceeding expectations with a heightened level of comfortable luxury. Stephanie Trump and I worked hand-in-hand with Isabel Tragash to conceptualize the perfect blend of luxury and practicality that is articulated through the careful selection of color palettes, fabrics, furnishings, and would accentuate one of our biggest assets: the breathtaking views."

Acqualina's spacious accommodations, which include standard rooms beginning at nearly 750-square-feet up to three bedroom suites spanning more than 2,300-square-feet, will be dressed in cool, calming tones cued by the resort's oceanfront location. Subtle hues of the tropics will be introduced to a classical palette of taupe, sandy tans, and soft greys with hints of violet, brought to life with a collection of rich, custom fabrics woven throughout the space.

Satin draping will frame windows and sliding glass doors that give way to oversized balconies with views of the resort's more than 400-feet of Atlantic oceanfront, the Intracoastal Waterway, or Miami's sparkling city lights. Sand-grey carpeting, sculpted to represent the beach's sandy shore, will provide guests with cozy, comfortable flooring underneath their feet.

Each guestroom will feature a selection of traditional furnishings in a deep ebony color, finished in a rich, high gloss lacquer with inflections of bronze jewel tones, to contrast the muted fabrics. Accent pieces will help create defined separation of spaces, even in the standard room categories, to create distinct sitting and sleeping areas.

A contemporary bronze coffee table will become the centerpiece of the room's sitting area, bordered by a traditional wingback chair crafted from grey boucle fabric with exposed buttons and modernized by clean lines. A custom sofa, also in a light grey shade, will present a sensual curved back that adds a sense of femininity. Hidden under the sofa's plush cushions, guests will uncover the added practicality of a pullout pillow-top mattress. Atop, matching throw pillows and a Chinchilla blanket will set an inviting tone. The sleeping area will be highlighted by a richly upholstered headboard, tufted in channels, which will create a slight enclosure around a dreamlike mattress and indulgent bedding, ushering guests into peaceful night's rest.

Outside of the newly updated guest rooms, an extensive collection of amenities are available, including four dining options, such as the signature AQ by Acqualina, featuring modern American cuisine crafted with fresh, local ingredients, fine Italian fare at Il Mulino New York, and causal beachside dining at Costa Grill. Additionally, the resort's four swimming pools provide a range of outdoor lounging options for sun-seekers.

Guests of Acqualina may also indulge in the award-winning Acqualina Spa by ESPA. The first branded ESPA in the United States, Acqualina Spa by ESPA embraces the ESPA philosophy with an offering of meditative and restorative treatments based on Ayurvedic principles. A skilled staff creates tailored treatments to completely customize each guest's experience, helping achieve total rejuvenation. The spa's his-and-hers relaxation lounges, ice fountains, Roman waterfall, experience showers that feature cool artic or warm Caribbean mists, Finnish saunas, crystal steam rooms, as well as a heated jet pool, and one of the resort's four ocean view swimming pools, create a fully immersive experience.
