He allowed the establishment to identify the Director who would ensure the future of the iconic hotel.

He quickly evolved within the same group as front desk manager then business development manager assuming functional as well as operational responsabilities.

In 1997, he is entrusted with the general management of the Hilton Madagascar and successively Hilton Rome Airport and Hilton Arc de Triomphe.

The year 2008 marks his arrival at the head of a legendary Roman establishment: Il Rome Cavalieri, which will become the first european hotel to integrate the prestigious Waldorf-Astoria Collection.

During six years, Serge Ethuin will inspire a new dynamic through the three Michelin Star restaurant La Pergola, the Grand Spa Club, the unique Art collection and will significantly expand all emerging markets for the hotel. In 2011 he is awarded « Best General Manager » by Waldorf Astoria Worldwide.
