Chateau LeMoyne-French Quarter, Historic Boutique Hotel, Completes Renovation

. February 01, 2016

NEW ORLEANS, LA. February 1, 2016 ¯ A beloved boutique New Orleans hotel, Chateau LeMoyne-French Quarter, located at 301 Dauphine St., is pleased to announce the completion of an eight-month long renovation boasting modernized design and amenities.

The transformation introduced stylish updates to the hotels 171 guestrooms, which include 30 rooms with balconies overlooking the streets of the French Quarter and 11 historic suites. The lobby, event spaces, and the charming exterior pool and courtyard area have also been rejuvenated.

Chateau LeMoyne worked with Texas-based design firm Flick Mars to complete the French Industrial style interior. The leather, green and gold accents combined with sophisticated furnishings lend a modern twist to the refined hotel while the original exposed brick walls, Edison light bulbs, hints of natural wood and vintage chic artwork sustain the historic French Quarter ambiance. Unique local touches such as wooden Mint Julep art installations are found in many of the guestrooms.

Named for the founder of New Orleans, Jean Baptiste LeMoyne, the original building, which is home to the hotel, was built in 1847, and designed by famed architect James Gallier. Gallier designed many of the Crescent City's most impressive structures including Gallier Hall, St. Patrick's Church and the Pontalba buildings.

The quintessential New Orleans hotel is equipped with modern amenities to offer guests the most comfortable stay. Newly added amenities include mini fridges, 48-inch flat screens, USB power ports, illuminated vanity mirrors and complimentary Wi-Fi in all guestrooms and meeting spaces.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer an overall better experience to our guests through modernized guestrooms and added amenities, as well as to locals with our enhanced special event spaces and ballrooms perfect for meetings, banquets and of course, traditional French Quarter weddings,” said Adrienne Breaux, Director of Sales at Chateau LeMoyne-French Quarter.

The hotel's enchanting garden courtyard received a makeover as well with all new outdoor furniture, and its re-plastered and re-tiled heated saltwater swimming pool. The courtyard offers a tranquil escape for couples seeking romance, families who want a break from the exciting streets of the French Quarter, and business travelers who have a hiatus in between meetings. It has also been known to draw local and out of town couples seeking a quaint French Quarter wedding ceremony under the stars.

Chateau LeMoyne's location in the French Quarter draws guests who want to be walking distance to the city's must-see attractions.
