News: Sousa and Chung Appointed to Hyatt Americas Sales Force

Sousa to oversee the north eastern region of the U.S., Chung to direct US strategic accounts.

CHICAGO, IL. May 9, 2016 - Hyatt has appointed Taryn Sousa and Eric Chung as directors of strategic accounts managing the north eastern region of the U.S; and TMC Consortia and Chinese Inbound partnerships accordingly.

Sousa started her hospitality career at a Residence Inn by Marriott property in Rhode Island, in 2002. In 2007, Sousa moved to Starwood where she worked in the company's Star Sales Center and Starwood Meetings line. Sousa held various positions within the company including sales specialist, and was a member of the company's global group sales organization. During her time in Starwood's global group sales, Sousa was responsible for managing key corporate, 3rd party and association customers. Sousa resides in Westport, MA with her husband and two children ages 3 and 4.

Chung began his career with Aimbridge Hospitality as a sales and revenue intern at Hilton Glendale. In 2011, Chung moved to Davidson Hotels & Resorts, where he held multiple positions in both sales and revenue management, including roles as area director and corporate accounts - west coast. During his time at Davidson Hotels & Resorts, Chung was responsible for driving transient sales for multiple properties among various brands including: Hilton, Carlson Rezidor, Starwood and Hyatt flags. In 2014, Davidson Hotels & Resorts awarded Chung the company's transient sales director of the year award. Most recently, Chung was director of sales & marketing for Aimbridge Hospitality.
