Henrik Muehle Appointed To The New Executive Board of Small Luxury Hotels of the World

LONDON, EN. July 19, 2016 - General Manager of luxury boutique hotel Flemings Mayfair (www.flemings-mayfair.co.uk) Henrik Muehle has been elected as a member of the newly formed Executive Board of Small Luxury Hotels (SLH) Limited. This follows the luxury independently-owned hotel company's recent announcement of a £12 million investment and restructure.

Mr Muehle joins the select Executive Board with SLH Chairman Filip Boyen; Shaun Leleu from SLH; owner of Les Sources de Caudalie Jerome Tourbier and Wentworth Mansion proprietor Richard Widman.

With over 20 years' experience in the hospitality industry, beginning his career in his native Germany and in France, Henrik was originally introduced to SLH in his position at Tylney Hall in Hampshire. In 2002 he took his first General Manager role at The Capital Hotel in London, introducing the property to SLH whilstthe restaurant, Chavot, earned two Michelin stars. In 2009, he moved to St. James's Hotel and Club as Managing Director, once again signing with SLH and opening a new restaurant, Seven Park Place that earned a Michelin star within a year of opening under chef William Drabble.

After five successful years, Henrik joined Flemings Mayfair as General Manager where he oversees every aspect of the management of the hotel. This includes the current £14 million refurbishment of the 129 new-look guest rooms, suites and apartments as well as the much anticipated opening of the 110-cover hotel restaurant Ormer Mayfair with Michelin-starred Shaun Rankin as Executive chef. Ormer Mayfair and the 40-cover destination bar Manetta's are set to open 20th September 2016.

Henrik has been a member of the SLH board for over three years and was re-appointed to the International Board of Directors for the SLH in 2015 for another three-year term.
