. August 10, 2016

LITTLE ROCK, AR. August 10, 2016 - The DoubleTree by Hilton in Little Rock, AR has begun an extensive multi-million dollar revitalization. The renovations will include a new lobby, lounge, restaurant, and upgraded guestrooms. The 288-room hotel is professionally managed by Waterford Hotel Group, a national hotel and convention center management firm.

The hotel renovations will improve the guest experience from arrival to departure, starting with the newly refurbished lobby that will include a complete overhaul of all finishes and fixtures. The new front desk will provide open access to guests. The lobby will also now feature Made Market, offering fresh-made specialties and classic recipes. The business center will be redesigned with comfortable work space as well as soft seating to allow guests to gather throughout the lobby. The concierge lounge will receive new wall finishes, carpet, seating, and breakfast bar.

To complement the other improvements of the hotel, the bar has been redesigned. The new bar will flow into the lounge area providing hotel guests with a place to meet, greet and relax in front of the fireplace or one of the seven new televisions. The restaurant will be completely transformed to provide guests with a casual dining experience with a focus on local and regional fare. The restaurant will also feature a new private dining room available for parties of up to 10 people.

The renovations and upgrades will continue throughout the property to the guest rooms. Guestrooms will receive new carpet, wall vinyl, draperies, and new soft seating including pullout sofa beds. All current double full rooms will be converted into double queen rooms and all current single queen rooms will be converted into king rooms. New desks, dressers, nightstands, and full length mirrors will add essential function to the upgraded guestroom experience. Additionally all guestroom corridors will receive new wall vinyl, draperies, and carpet.

“These renovations will enhance guest experience for both the business and leisure traveler visiting the heart of historic Little Rock,” said Tina Fleming, General Manager. “We are excited to reveal the plans and renderings for this project, and introducing the new and improved DoubleTree Little Rock to the community this fall.”
