Kohler Co. Names Tom McGinty Director of Food & Beverage Operations at Destination Kohler

KOHLER, WI. August 17, 2016 — Kohler Co. is pleased to announce the promotion of industry veteran, Tom McGinty to Director of Food & Beverage Operations at Destination Kohler. In this newly created position, McGinty will draw upon his impressive knowledge of the hospitality and culinary industry with more than 30 years of experience to oversee the culinary operations at Destination Kohler, one of only 52 resort-hotels to boast the AAA Five-Diamond and Forbes Five-Star accolades, Lodge Kohler, the highly anticipated premier hotel development in Titletown set to open in 2017, and the growth of Kitchens of Kohler Demonstration Kitchen.

McGinty comes to the position having managed external food and beverage outlets within Destination Kohler, including the world-class golf courses, Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run, Cucina Italian Restaurant and the Craverie Chocolatier Cafe, as Manager of Food & Beverage Operations. During this time, McGinty was an integral leader of the department, implementing strategies that have increased efficiencies and profits, introducing creative ideas and enhancements, hiring top talent and continuing to deliver excellence throughout the resort's culinary offerings.

Prior to joining Kohler, McGinty launched Soigne Culinary Artistry, a Chicago-based culinary services company that partnered with corporations and business groups to assist with team building, product development, and customer service training through interactive culinary seminars. Throughout his 30-year career, McGinty has refined his culinary expertise and commitment to service through formal training, various Executive Chef positions and providing cooking demonstrations and interactive presentations around the world.
