OAK BROOK, IL. September 7, 2016 - Management at the Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center has announced the official opening of the new Executive Lounge. The private retreat, located just steps away from the lobby, gives Hilton Honors members and VIP guests first-class amenities unlike anything else offered by Hilton brands in the Chicago western suburbs. The unveiling of the lavish Executive Lounge marks another major milestone in the multi-million dollar, property-wide renovation occurring at the full-service lifestyles resort and IACC-certified conference facility located just 30 minutes west of the city.

“We're proud to offer our Hilton Honors members and VIPs an exclusive area of luxury and serenity,” said Director of Sales & Marketing, Nathan Karsten. “The Executive Lounge differentiates our product from what is available in this market, and something we hope helps drive guest loyalty while wowing potential new customers.”

Intended to exude the feel of a private residence, the spacious Executive Lounge at the Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center was designed by the award-winning architectural firm of O'Kelly + Kasprak. The design is inspired by the indulgent side of the golden age of mid-20th Century leisure, with iconic statement pieces mixed with modern clean lines. Above all areas of the hotel's new stylish look, the Executive Lounge carries more of a story through time. Historic artwork and fine details in the materials embrace the property's past, when the 150-acre sanctuary the hotel is located on was a polo field, while chic stones and shimmers of brass highlights blend with the warmth of teak, sculptural furniture.

“The Executive Lounge is intended to cater to the traveler's every need with elegance,” added Karsten. “Easy to work, easy to indulge, easy to relax. It's a truly upgraded experience.”

Access to the Executive Lounge is included in Diamond Level Hilton Honors and VIP stays, however is also available to all hotel guests for an additional fee. Some of the Executive Lounge highlights include:

• Enhanced continental breakfast including fresh pastries from the in-house Pastry Chef • Afternoon hors d'ouevres designed by the Executive Chef • Coffee and tea throughout the day • Hand-crafted cocktails, eclectic wines and craft beer in the evening • A selection of newspapers, magazines and books • A dedicated Executive Lounge concierge • 24-hour access Sunday PM - Friday AM • Complimentary Wi-Fi
