Boston Park Plaza Names Sterling Brown as Human Resources Director

BOSTON, MA. December 7, 2016 - Boston Park Plaza is pleased to announce the appointment of Sterling Brown to the position of Human Resources Director. Brown, who has over two decades of experience in human resources, will recruit and manage talent, grow leadership development, and ensure that those driving guest experiences always meet the property's standards.

Brown, who holds a master's degree in Public Administration and Human Resource Development from Villanova University, most recently served as an Organizational Development Consultant working with numerous clients to design interventions for social innovation in talent acquisition, employment branding, and internal marketing. Prior to his role as a consultant, Brown worked with Sage Hospitality Group in Denver, CO, where he served as Vice President of People Resources and created the organization's first brand video for its Premier and Lifestyle collection of 15 hotels and restaurants, which is currently used in Sage's talent acquisition strategies. In addition to Sage Hospitality Group, Brown's background in human resources also comes from his time working with St. Giles Hotels in New York City as Human Resources Area Director, Morgans Hotel Group in New York City as Regional Director of Human Resources, and Personality Hotels in San Francisco, CA as Corporate Director of Human Resources.

To continue to grow professionally, Brown is currently working towards his Doctor of Business Administration degree through Wilmington University. He is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Human Resource Certification Institute and has a Senior Certified Professional designation from the Society for Human Resources Management.

Brown currently resides in Boston and enjoys running, hiking, tennis and traveling during his free time.
