Hyatt at The Bellevue Appoints Carolyn McCammon Director of Sales and Marketing

NEW YORK, N.Y. January 19, 2017 - Hyatt at The Bellevue, located along the world-famous Avenue of the Arts in the heart of downtown Philadelphia, is pleased to announce the appointment of Carolyn McCammon as Director of Sales and Marketing. In this role, McCammon will lead the sales and marketing efforts for the iconic hotel as well as generate revenue through room bookings, meetings, weddings and events. With a premier location in the heart of the cultural center of Philadelphia, the property offers 172 spacious guestrooms and suites, over 30,000 square feet of flexible function space including the romantic Rose Garden Ballroom and the Grand Ballroom with original lighting designed by Thomas Edison, and the hotel's modern seasonal restaurant, XIX (NINETEEN), which features sweeping views of the city from the 19th floor of the hotel. The building itself is familiar territory for McCammon who was on the conversion team for the opening of the Park Hyatt Philadelphia at the Bellevue which has since become Hyatt at the Bellevue.

A hospitality veteran, McCammon brings over 25 years of experience to her role, beginning with her position as a room attendant at the Harborside Inn in Port Jefferson, NY before attending Boston University for Hospitality and Business Administration. While earning her degree, McCammon worked at several hotels in the city including the Elliot Hotel and the Sonesta International Hotels Corporation. McCammon officially joined the Hyatt family in 1993 as an opening team member of the Harborside Hyatt Hotel & Conference Center and from there, went on to earn various positions and promotions in the Room Divisions at the Grand Hyatt New York, Hyatt Regency Greenwich and Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa. It was at Hyatt Regency Maui where McCammon segued into the sales industry as a Senior Travel Industry Sales Manager. In her most recent position, McCammon served as the Regional Director of Sales, Wholesale for Hyatt Resorts in Hawaii, where she achieved the largest revenue on record and helped launch the Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort. During this time, she also served as Chair member of Women@Hyatt, where she spearheaded the effort to establish a Maui chapter.
