Crescent Hotels & Resorts Converts the Duke Hotel Newport Beach to a Renaissance Hotel
The “Lifestyle Luxury” Hotel Offers Touchpoints of the Local Area Throughout the Property
Crescent Hotels & Resorts, a nationally recognized operator of major hotels, resorts and conference centers in the United States and Canada, today announced the rebranding of the Duke Hotel Newport Beach to the Renaissance Newport Beach Hotel. All 444 guest rooms along with the lobby, restaurant and banquet space will be fully renovated for the conversion, expected to be completed in spring 2018.
The upscale hotel located at 4500 MacArthur Boulevard is just two minutes from the John Wayne Airport-Orange County and offers business and leisure guests convenient access to Balboa Island, the Newport Beach Pier, Disneyland®, Disney California Adventure® Park and Fashion Island.
The property offers a variety of rooms and suites perfect for guests traveling alone or with the entire family. Each guest room is balanced with just the right amenities and decorated in cool relaxing colors. Some rooms offer balconies, while others feature pool views or overlook beautiful Orange County.
The 10-story Renaissance Newport Beach Hotel amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, valet parking, laundry services, a rooftop swimming pool, an outdoor garden area, and a 10,000 square-foot patio complete with a waterfall and fireplace. If you are looking to stay active during your stay, the hotel also provides a 24-hour fitness center, a basketball court, a bocce court and tennis court.
The hotel features a new restaurant and full-service bar: Current, featuring a Pacific Ocean-inspired decor of soft ocean blues and greens, serving coastal cuisine, local craft beers, and specialty cocktails and offering live entertainment from 5:00 - 7:00 pm nightly. The lobby experience has been redesigned and with the addition of the Driftwood Ballroom featuring plenty of natural light, the hotel now boasts 27,000 square-feet of meeting space to accommodate functions for up to 750 people.
