Grand City Hotels To Manage 9 Accor Hotels In Germany

OCTOBER 9, 2006. 8 Hotels (4 Novotel, 1Mercure, 1 Formula1, 1 IBIS, 1 ETAP) part of the Accorhotels Group will be managed by the Berlin based, Grand City Hotels & Resorts Group. 'Green light' for the take over of 4 Novotel (Bonn, Neuss, Düsseldorf Airport, Saarbrücken), Mercure Hotel Kassel, Formula1 Hotel Magdeburg, IBIS Hotel Dortmund and ETAP Hotel Bremen.

The supervisory board of Accorhotels and the board of directors of Grand City Hotels & Resorts approved the business model for the takeover and integration of the above mentioned Hotels into the management portfolio of Grand City Hotels & Resorts.

Grand City Hotels & Resorts will continue to maintain the brand names after which in the beginning of 2007 a re-branding will be considered. The company ensures a fair treatment of all hotel employees and business will proceed as usual.

Founded in February 2006 Grand City Hotels & Resorts is one of the newest Hotel Management companies in the European Market. With the Headquarter in Berlin Grand City Hotels & Resorts currently owns / operates 28 hotels with over 4000 guestrooms.
