Kessler Building Second Hotel in Savannah GA

75 room Bohemian Hotel overlooking the Savannah River

ORLANDO, FL / SAVANNAH, GA, March 20, 2008. Orlando-based hotelier and real estate developer Richard C. Kessler, Chairman and CEO of The Kessler Enterprise, Inc., announces plans for his second boutique hotel in Savannah - The Bohemian Hotel at Savannah Riverfront. This news follows his latest announcement of The Bohemian Hotel at Biltmore Village in Asheville, NC, a luxury boutique hotel scheduled to open in December 2008.

With a premier location overlooking the Historic Savannah River and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, galleries and attractions, the luxury hotel will be the essence of Southern charm and hospitality. The brick architecture is representative of the historic Riverwalk where shipping and the cotton trade once dominated. The nine-story hotel will feature 75 spacious guest rooms, Rocks Modern Grill, a rooftop café overlooking the Savannah River, unique artwork, a board room, fitness center, concierge service and valet parking. The property is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in spring 2009.

This is the second Rocks Modern Grill; the first is located in Kessler’s Beaver Creek Lodge in Beaver Creek, Colo. The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner and guests will have the choice to dine in the sidewalk café, private dining room, main restaurant or lounge seating area. The dinner menu will feature fresh seafood, prime steaks and daily chef specials created by Kessler’s award-winning culinary team. Breakfast will be served in the glass-enclosed rooftop café with both indoor and outdoor seating.

"I have always dreamed about having a hotel on Savannah’s historic riverfront and have found here the premier location for a Kessler luxury hotel,” states Kessler. “We are looking forward to bringing another world-class hotel with exquisite accommodations and service to this community.”

Kessler, who was born in Savannah, also owns the AAA Four-Diamond Mansion on Forsyth Park located across from Forsyth Park as well as the Columbia Place luxury residences located on Columbia Square, both in Savannah.
