Pegasus Goes Global with BCD Travel

DALLAS, TX, March 24, 2008. BCD Travel, one of the top three travel management companies in the world, has renewed its contract with Pegasus Solutions for commission processing in the US, EMEA and ASPAC. Additionally, BCD Travel has extended its use of Pegasus commission services to include more than 90 countries on five continents.

A Pegasus customer for more than 12 years, BCD Travel uses Pegasus Commission Processing to streamline commission payments, which is vital to the company’s role in maximizing productivity and cost effectiveness for its customers.

“By working with Pegasus, we offer customers an efficient way to process hotel commissions on a local, regional or global scale,” said Jason Harris, senior director of hotel relations for BCD Travel. “Our mission is to maximize productivity by managing multiple tools, systems and suppliers for the customers we serve, who need to be paid correctly and on time for their bookings. Pegasus has always helped us to achieve these goals, which is why we’ve chosen to further expand our agreement.”

Pegasus Commission Processing streamlines commission payment and collection for travel agents and travel suppliers, processing more than $500 million in hotel commissions each year. Offering agents regularly scheduled consolidated payments and reports, Pegasus also allows agents to select a preferred currency for payments. The company’s commission services customer base includes more than 35,000 properties as well as the majority of the world’s travel agencies and travel distributors in more than 200 countries.

“The extension of our agreement with BCD Travel across its global network is a testament to the solid relationship we have built over the years,” said Mark S. Dubrow, Pegasus president of financial services. “As BCD Travel is one of the leading travel management providers in the industry, we are eager to expand on our relationship to bring the company breakthrough solutions worldwide.”
