Hotel Equities Names Director of Revenue Management

Drew Salapka

ATLANTA, GA, May 12, 2008. Atlanta-based Hotel Equities (HE) recently named Drew Salapka to the position of Director of Revenue Management. His responsibilities include daily inventory management for all 20 hotels in the Hotel Equities portfolio. He also analyzes the demand for rooms in the markets served by the firm’s hotels, evaluates market strengths and weaknesses and analyzes and reports key market statistics as they impact the industry and the individual hotels.

“Drew holds a business management degree and has taken training specifically in revenue management in addition to accruing experience in operations,” said Fred Cerrone, President and CEO of Hotel Equities. “With his keen mind, he excels in analysis, spots trends quickly and positions our hotels accordingly. He makes an outstanding asset to our management team.”

Beginning his hospitality career at the age of 16, Mr. Salapka worked as a housekeeper at the Residence Inn-Alpharetta, GA while he was still in high school. After his graduation from college, Mr. Salapka joined Hotel Equities in 1999 as an intern at the Fairfield Inn-Perimeter Center. He moved quickly to the position of Bench Manager covering various positions at several of the company’s hotels. He served as Operations Manager at the Fairfield Inn-Midtown Atlanta before his promotion in 2000 to General Manager at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Macon, Georgia where he served until 2004.

In 2004, the company promoted Mr. Salapka to manage the TownePlace Suites-Kennesaw where he also served as TownePlace Suites Brand Manager for Hotel Equities. In 2006, Mr. Salapka took on the challenge and responsibilities of part-time Revenue Manager for the company by providing valuable daily analysis of room sales.
A graduate of Clemson University with a B.B.A. in Business Management, Mr. Salapka resides in the Perimeter Center area of Atlanta. He serves on the Board of Directors of InStep International and on the board of the Buckhead Christian Ministry. As the Auction Coordinator for Marriott International’s Torch Relay for the Children’s Miracle Network, he helps raise over $60,000 annually toward medical care for children. His interests include hiking, camping, water skiing and traveling.
